Z is for Zebra

It is more likely than not
that I will never
see a zebra in the wild.

And what a difference it makes to see critters in the wild! Vermont was a treasure-trove in that regard for me: red foxes, woodchucks, barred owls, fishers (martens), mooses (meese?), coyotes, and lots of others I had only seen in film or in captivity before that.

I hope you get to Africa someday.

Paint a few stripes on a donkey. Who's to know?

Oh no don't say that!

You'll get to Africa. Plenty of time for that.

You just need a plan.

(Its on our list for 2009!)

First, I need to capture the wild donkey.

Why don't you do one of those expensive volunteer vacations? I'm sure there's one that involves radio-collaring zebras.
